From Darkrooms to Dream Weddings
"I still remember the first time I developed a roll of film in a darkroom. The image emerged slowly, like a memory surfacing from water, and I knew I was hooked."
My journey into photography began in a cramped university darkroom at eighteen, where I spent countless nights watching black-and-white prints materialize under amber light. What started as a fascination with the alchemy of film evolved into a deep appreciation for the art of capturing human connection.
After graduating with a degree in Fine Art Photography from the University of the Arts London, I spent five years assisting some of the UK's most respected wedding photographers. Those years taught me the technical precision required to work in unpredictable conditions — from the harsh midday sun of a Mediterranean terrace to the candlelit intimacy of a winter chapel.
In 2019, I launched Amélie Rose Photography with a simple mission: to create wedding images that feel as genuine and heartfelt as the love stories they document. Every wedding I photograph is a collaboration, built on trust and a shared vision of what makes a moment worth remembering.
Today, I'm based in London but travel throughout the UK and Europe, working with couples who value authenticity over perfection, and who want their wedding photographs to feel like a true reflection of who they are.
